by Freddy Tran Nager, Founder of Atomic Tango + Guy Who Likes His Satire Hard…

“… While the internet is new and exciting for creative people, it hasn’t matured as a distribution mechanism… It will be a few years before digital distribution of media on the Internet can be monetized to an extent that necessitates content producers to forgo their fair value in more traditional media…” – Kyle, South Park

I know, I shouldn’t be quoting cartoon characters as proof of anything, but sometimes the greatest truth is found in satire. And this ““Canada On Strike” episode of South Park is satire at its best, skewering everyone from the Writers Guild of America to Denmark to the stars of YouTube.

I couldn’t agree more with South Park’s sentiments on this issue. As a media junkie, I love Web 2.0; for any business besides the the social platforms, it’s 2.Overrated.

Let’s hear it for uncommon sense: that inner itch that inspires us to stray from the herd, ditch the training wheels, and leap into the fast lane. After all, it’s the risk takers who get featured and interviewed. No one ever remembers who won “honorable mention.” And in today’s saturated marketspaces, the greatest risk is taking no risk at all.

So whether you’re seeking enlightenment or just entertainment, pull up an Eames, pour yourself a cold one, and enjoythe latest uncommon sense — and our 2 cents — from Atomic Tango Founder & Professor Freddy Tran Nager and friends. Our 300+ posts are sometimes serious, satirical, skeptical, even silly, but never stale.

by Freddy Tran Nager, Founder of Atomic Tango + American Happy To Be In Cali… Sometimes creative expression hits too close to home — and a nerve. That’s definitely the case with CALEXIT, a comic book series depicting a hypothetical California secession from these not-so-United States. The secession is precipitated, of course, by the election […]
